Well, a tiny diversion from the Ella Rae coat knit-a-long that I'm doing:
A cute little shrug. Hehe. Sorry for the bad pic. :) Although I think I will undo the bind off and make it longer.

Some new project pictures
Well, I am making this Ella Rae Coat for the knit-a-long on Noni's blog.
Here's my progress so far:
I know, not the greatest pictures, but...yay! I like it so far.

I've also been sewing with my sister in law on the weekends for the past few weeks. I'm super excited that she wants to sew!!! We are making these cute slippers from Simplicity:
Mine is the hot pink one. Hehehe. Anyways, they are done except I am waiting for the soles to come in.
We are also making these duffle bags now, too. YAY!

Fingerless Mitts with a Ruffle!!
I just finished these super cute ruffled mitts. I LOVE them!!
Yarn: Liberty Wool
Pattern: Belle-Ruffle-Gloves
Guage: 5 sts/inch
Materials: 1 skein pink, 1 skein black, 6 buttons
Needles: US 6
Alterations: I added a little bit of length to the fingertip portion. Instead of knitting 8 rounds, I think I did approx. 12. Therefore..I didn’t have enough pink yarn to finish the second thumb.
SO….I ripped out the first thumb and made it black and made the second thumb black to match. I think if I would have done the original 8 rounds that the pattern said, I would have had enough with 1 skein pink and 1 skein black. Ah well. I’m glad I added the length, though.

New Sweater!
Yay! I finished my sweater. Isn't it fun?!
Pattern: Moments 002 book (sorry, no link)
Skeins: 10
Needles: 7 and 5 (for the sleeve ribbing)
Changes: I knit this in the round instead of flat. For the sleeves, I picked up 56 stitches for each sleeve using size 7 needle. Knit until it hit about an inch above my elbow, then did approx. 1.5” of ribbing using a size 5 needle.

New gloves!
Ooooh, look at my new gloves!!! Hehehehe
Okay, so I only have one done so far..but aren't they cute?!
It's a wonderful FREE download on Ravelry. I am using Liberty Wool, which is super soft and washable.

Sorry, sorry!
I know I've been MIA for a while now...
We moved downstate! I finally got some things unpacked including my sewing machines! However, up north I had a stack of patterns separated from my main pattern stash which were the patterns that I wanted to make next...
...well....I found my pattern stash, but my stack of patterns I want to make next haven't shown up yet. Hopefully this weekend, I can get to them. I did make a skirt (a really simple one..just cut from some jersey, sewn up the two sides..hem the waist and bottom, made two darts in the front because the waist was too big. And can you believe...I dressed up super cute yesterday and wore it and forgot to take a picture?!?! Ugh! I will post one later. :)
