I have too much to do!!!
So I am going to make a list of everything I need to make before August when we go back downstate.
1. Dress to wear to wedding---all of the fabric is cut for this-just need to start sewing!
2. Special Order-black/pink/green knitting tote-not started
3. Custom bag-interfacing/Peltex cut, waiting on fabric from fabric.com to ship
4. Baby quilt-not started
5. Knitting samples for store--scarf already done, just need two tanks tops plus another scarf...these probably all won't be done.
6. More knitting totes (as many as possible to sell)
7. More circular needle cases (as many as possible to sell)
8. Chalkboard rollup to sell at Dad's shop
9. Tank top (this is just for me..I guess I don't really need it done asap, but it would be nice to be able to wear it this summer)
10. Learning how to embroider using my new sewing machine!!!!! I haven't even had time to look at it yet. :(
And anything else I feel like making that people would probably buy.
Yeah...that's a lot. Hopefully I can get it all done, but we'll see. :D

Renee's Wedding/Trip Downstate
Our trip downstate was awesome, as always, but short. I got to work at our knit shop for a couple of days, which was nice. We also went to Renee's wedding in Midland. Here's me with the beautiful bride:
They also had this painting of a squirrel & nut which was my favorite. Hehehehe-isn't he cute????
And here are some of Matt & I...awww. :)
Oh, and thanks, Yesi, for the beautiful dress. :) I love it!

Sewing Fever
Well, we are headed downstate soon and I have been trying to get all these sewing projects ready to sell at our knit shop. I got my fabric in the mail on Thurdsay evening. It is now Wednesday and I have made 2 new totes, 1 straight needle case and 1 circular needle case. Woo hoo! Go me. Here are some more pics:
Now I just need to make some accessories for the black & white bag. :)

Paper Piecing
I think I've finally gotten the paper-piecing technique down!! This was for a swap on Ravelry:
Instead, I made this one...actually, I just did the appliques, and Matt layed it out for me. Then I sewed it. Thanks, Matt. :)
And here's the back...another paper piecing pattern which turned out pretty cool. Not as cool as the original paper piecing block, but oh well.
Okay, I decided to make another design, since I thought 10" may be too big. I will have to just back that one and maybe put insulation in it for a hot pad for myself (cuz I really like it!!!!)

Ta da! I think I put way too much time in it, but oh well. I learned some new things & had fun and hopefully my swap partner likes it.
Baking!
Thank you, Grandma Branham for this delicious pie recipe. This is rhubarb custard pie with homemade crust (just in case you couldn't tell that it's homemade with all the lumpiness...anyways, first time for me making a pie crust..and a DOUBLE pie crust at that) This was absolutely DELICIOUS. Yum. Thanks again. Aunt Chris, your rhubarb pudding cake is coming up next. Mmm!
Ah, yes...these breadsticks are the best breadsticks in the world. Yes, in the world. They began as delicious garlic parmesan breadsticks. The dough is made in my bread machine, and then they are lathered up with butter/parmesan/garlic and baked in the oven. My mom decided to add string cheese in the middle and skip the parmesan. So then of course I tried it. Best. Ever. Breadsticks. In. The. World. Yum!
(I had a little cheese spillage...oh well)

Drink Quilt!
I finally finished my drink quilt!! Yay! I was nervous about quilting it because I have made 2 quilts before, but I always do the "stitch in the ditch" method when quilting. This time, I wanted to try free-motion quilting. And....I think I succeeded!! There are a couple of wrinkles, but nothing too obvious and mostly in the back of the quilt.

Memorial Day Weekend
Since we had such a beautiful day, we decided to go on a hike! We went to Mclain State Park on a trail. It was pretty short, but nice.
We took the Jeep: To: Bear Lake Trail!
We saw some mint leaves: and I ate some:
A pretty view:
A cute little birdy:
